ClimateIQ Privacy Policy
Effective May 14, 2026
ClimateIQ helps you compare local climate history across public weather sources and optional personal station data. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information You Provide
You may enter ZIP codes, saved place names, NOAA Climate Data Online tokens, and Ambient Weather station credentials. Ambient credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. If you sign in, selected app settings may sync with your account so ClimateIQ can keep your web and iPhone setup aligned.
Location
ClimateIQ may ask for your approximate device location to find nearby weather stations. You can use ZIP code entry instead. Location is used for app functionality and is not used for advertising tracking.
Account Sync
Sign-in is optional. If you sign in with Google or Apple, ClimateIQ uses your account identifier and email address to sync ClimateIQ settings. You can also use the app locally without creating an account.
Weather Data Sources
ClimateIQ requests weather history from public and user-connected data sources such as Open-Meteo, NASA POWER, NOAA CDO, Meteostat, and Ambient Weather. Those services may process requests according to their own terms and policies.
Analytics And Logs
ClimateIQ may collect basic operational logs needed to run, secure, and improve the service. The native iOS app does not use advertising tracking.
